This succulent double smoked cherry ham is infused with sweet cherry wood for a unique smoke flavor that makes it a standout dish. Perfect for holidays or family gatherings, it’s easy to prepare and sure to impress. Serve it with sides for a festive meal or slice it for sandwiches!

Ingredients

1 fully cooked spiral ham (about 10 lbs)
1 cup cherry juice
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp ground cloves

Glaze

1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup cherry juice
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/3 cup cherry BBQ sauce (Heartland Hickory Sauce)
1/4 cup Dijon mustard

Directions

Preheat the smoker to 250°F (121°C).Use cherry wood chunks with your fire.
Season the ham using mustard as a binder.
Smoke until the internal temperature is 130°F.
Mix cherry juice, brown sugar, maple syrup, BBQ sauce, and cloves to create a glaze. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 10 minutes.
Brush with the glaze for the last 30 minutes until 145°F internal temperature.
