These crispy wings are smoked to perfection before being fried for an irresistible crunch. Toss them in your favorite sauce for a delicious appetizer or main dish. Perfect for game day or any gathering, they are sure to be a hit!
Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 2 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup oil for frying
- Vegetable oil
Directions
- Preheat the smoker to 300°F (148°C) and use pecan or post oak wood for smokey flavor.
- Season chicken wings with smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Or use Sweet Red Dirt, Dust Bowl, or All Y'All rub.
- Smoke wings for 1 hour until wings are 155°F internal temperature.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet and fry wings until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch. Pat dry and sprinkle more rub on top.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
