These visually stunning potatoes are sliced but not all the way through, allowing for a perfect crispy exterior and a fluffy interior. Topped with butter, herbs, and cheese, they make a delightful side dish that looks as amazing as it tastes. Serve them at your next dinner party for a touch of elegance!

Ingredients

5 medium-sized potatoes
3 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp melted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Directions

Preheat the oven or smoker to 425°F (218°C).
Place each potato between two chopsticks and make thin slices about ¾ of the way down.
Mix olive oil or butter with minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
Brush the mixture over the potatoes, ensuring it gets into the slices.
Bake for 45 minutes. Remove and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Return to the oven or smoker for another 15 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
Garnish with parsley before serving.
