Pitmaster’s Prayer
Lord, bless this fire, ignite my desire,
Keep my temps low and my patience higher.
May the Sweet Red Dirt bark shine with delight, And the Dust Bowl butter melt just right.
Guide my hands as I trim with care,
Let no brisket dry out—keep it tender and right.
May the Heartland Hickory Cherry Sauce flow,
And my neighbors inquire, "What’s your secret, though?"
For church potlucks, tailgates, and gatherings anew, Let this meat preach louder than I ever do.
And if I burn the ends, Lord, help me abide,
Remind me that perfection’s found in love, not pride.
Bless the hands that sow, the hands that prepare, The hands that serve and the love that we share.
And when the smoke clears, let them testify,
"That Bartlow’s flavor? Man, it’s heavenly high!"
In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen. 🙏🔥
